Real Estate Record?

I have a new So Cal real estate record. For those of you who live in other parts of the world, you'll get a kick out of this. I live in a little area called Montrose which is north of LA, close to Glendale. There was a little house up the road from my apartment that went up for sale. The house is 900 Sq Feet, 2br, 1 bath. I called on the house, the listing price: $699,000. That's right, a half million more than what could possibly be considered reasonable. That's just out of control.

That will buy you whatever you want here...even within range of a Starbucks!
Allen, you won't believe this. $699,000 for 900 sq. ft. is $777 per square foot. I just checked the value of the house that we rent on Zillow.com. For our micro 512 sq. ft. house (that's not a type-o) the recommended selling price is $420,804. That's $822 per square foot. Perhaps the high value can be explained by the easy access to the many meth labs in the Sunland area.
