Tough Week in College Football
Saturday, October 15, 2005
Today proved to be one of the greatest days in college football in recent history. There were more improbable, amazing finishes today and most of them involving national contenders. It was a tough day to be on the dwindling undefeated list. Alabama barely escapes at Ole Miss on a last second field goal 13-10, UCLA has a ridiculous comeback and OT victory against WSU 44-41, Penn State finally goes down on an absolutely amazing comeback at Michigan 27-25, Florida State makes a run but comes up short against unranked Virginia 26-21, and of course we all know the evil empire that continues along, USC. That ending is an instant classic with Notre Dame. They have to be the best team college football has seen in a long time. We now have 7 undefeated teams and a lot of football left (Georgia, Texas and Texas Tech won handily and Virginia Tech was off today). I was very dissapointed in the Bama performance early in the day but after watching a couple of the big boys fall, I'm proud to have the W right now. It is very hard to go through the college football season undefeated.

Glad you have time to stay up with college FB. You missed the 2nd best game of the day! Wisconsin Badgers over MINN on a blocked punt for a TD! Go Badgers!
Hope you're doing well. My wife Andrea is pregnant with our first and things are going great here in Carmel, IN. www.fbccarmel.com

Cagle, you obviously taught Brodie something in your years in Gadsden. He really showed some toughness Saturday. With that being said, he still plays for the evil empire, so I will not allow myself to be impressed by him.
