Innerancy

This post by Doug Wilson is excellent. He talks about the issue of innerancy and how we are too weak on the subject. It is a good reminder of the authority and sufficiency of the Word of God. Our job isn't to defend the Bible. Our job is to proclaim the Bible. It is perfectly capable of defending itself.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Wilson is a part of a group in Moscow, ID. They are Theonomist, and covenental in their theology. He is a superb writer and very witty. I don't buy everything he puts out but he has some great stuff on marriage, theology and practical Christian living. They are presbyterian and a little militant sometimes for my taste but definitely thinkers. He is also big into the classical Christian Education, producing some materials in ID.
Yeah, I think this post originated in an emergent rebuttle (or a series of responses). I first heard of him through his book Reforming Marriage - excellent read.
By the way, that statement, "The Bible doesn't take tests, it administers them," was the line that caught my attention too and much of the reason I linked the article.
